This hands-on and engaging Ten Frame Maths Activity is perfect for EYFS, KS1, or SEND learners developing their number sense and early addition skills. Designed to be laminated for repeated use, this interactive resource supports the ‘Flip it, Make it, Write it’ structure: Flip i t: Children select a card at random from the set of 43 ten-frame cards (numbers within 10). Each card displays a combination of red and yellow counters. Make it: Pupils recreate the ten frame they picked using either: - Red and yellow counters provided in the resource (20 of each) - Physical counters commonly found in classrooms Write it: Using the included 5-box addition sentence chart, children break down what they see into a written number sentence. For example, a card showing 6 red and 1 yellow counter becomes: 1 | + | 6 | = | 7 Link

  Ten Frames (Pack of resources)  This is the last resource I have created. Help your students learn about ten frames with this pack of resources. The pack of resources includes: - Subitizing puzzles: Includes numbers up to 6. Students will match the number and its written form with the tally marks, ten frame and dice (subitizing). - Clip Cards: There are 2 pdf included: The first includes includes numbers up to 10, and the second one, from 11 up to 20. Students can either circle or colour the correct number or use clothing pegs to match the correct number. - Shake & Spill:  Students use dice to complete a ten frame by drawing red and yellow circles. They will also write the corresponding number sentence below to show the addition. Link

  Balanzas de sumas -   Addition scales Los niños tendrán que resolver las sumas para colocar las operaciones en el lado correcto de la balanza. Dependiendo de las operaciones, el niño tendrá que elegir ente la balanza equilibrada y la balanza desequilibrada. Actividad creada para practicar conteo a través del conteo de "anillos de los troncos de los árboles". Es una excelente idea si estas trabajando los temas de las plantas, los árboles, la naturaleza, el campo,... además de la oportunidad que te ofrece para acercar conceptos de la naturaleza. Como alternativa podéis pedir a vuestros niños que coloquen el numero correspondiente en el centro del anillo para comparar que "árbol" es mayor o menor. También tenéis aquí las piedras que usamos para la actividad. Activity created to practise counting through counting the "annual growth rings". Para esta actividad, los niños tienen que poner las piezas de dominó sobre los números y viceversa (En mi clase las piezas de dominó son dálmatas, que es la razón por la que no son rectángulos exactos) For this activity, the children have to put the dominó pieces over the numbers and vice versa (In my room the dominó pieces are Dalmatians, what is the why they are not exactly rectangles). Esta actividad es similar pero sin las piezas de dominó. Podéis usar cualquier material que tengáis en vuestra clase con números/configuraciones. This activity is similar but without dominó pieces.
